Privacy policy

Nutrientor helps you cook, keep your Kitchen and eat for your goals. This page says what it stores and why.

What is stored

• Account: username, a salted password hash, or your Google account's email when you sign in with Google.
• What you enter: Kitchen foods, goals and templates, body details you give for goals (pregnancy too, if you tell it), diet and foods you avoid, buy lists, saved recipes, the food log, cooking prompts (if you keep them), ratings and comments.
• Photos and videos you choose to scan or attach (Kitchen and recipe photos or a short video are sent to the AI to read them; a video is kept in Google's AI file store for up to 48 hours, then deleted automatically; recipe photos you share are stored with the recipe).
• AI usage: how many tokens each AI request used and its cost, to show your usage and keep limits fair.
• Feedback: what you send us in Settings › Tell us what you think (ideas, problems, mistakes, "was this helpful?" votes), with the topic you were reading, so we can read it and reply in the app. You can delete each message there.
• Purchases: when you buy a plan or extra usage, Google Play handles the payment; we keep the product, Google's order number and how long the plan lasts, to give it to your account. We never see your card.
• Barcodes you scan: the server looks the product up in Open Food Facts (an open product database) by its barcode; nothing about you is sent with it.

How it is used

Only to run the app for you: recipes fitted to your Kitchen and goals, your food log, Discover suggestions and your usage. No ads, no selling of data, no tracking across other apps.

AI

Recipe, chat, photo and import requests are processed by Google's Gemini models (and, if configured, a fallback provider). Only what the request needs is sent: your prompt, relevant Kitchen and goal details, and the photo you chose.

What others see

Only recipes you share to Discover, your username and profile bio, ratings and comments you post. Everything else is private.

Your rights

• Download your data: You › Account › Download my data.
• Delete your account: You › Account › Delete account — removes the account and all its data, including shared recipes and comments. See how to delete.
• You can block cooks and report content in Discover.

Storage and retention

Data is stored on Google Cloud (the app's server runs in the EU) and in a managed Postgres database. It is kept while your account exists; AI usage records are kept 180 days.
